            i am new member of tyota club i have red corolla ts say every budy to hi.

              i just sing up now its was great last saturday there was friend from club with 300hp cupra was there but type-r integra beat the cupra one time.

 i will have service next week 2000 km for the new engine.  what do  i put Castrol 5w 40 in my car .bcoz the  toyota service. just use 10w 40 or 5w 40 but not castrol.

Hi, use 5w 40 because its much better than the 10w 40 that Toyota uses, it should be fine, no problems at all. Some other guys here might recommend you something else, its basically your choice, but 5w 40 should be fine if its fully synthetic!

I use 0w 40 castrol,but I'll change the brand.I'll use motul...

5w 40its good for engine but 0w 40 its to thin for the engine ts the best is for the car 5w 40 they said 0w 40 its just 2.5 liter engine or boxer motor like Subaru  high performance engine.i had 0w 40 but after wild my engine have strange noice   but know i have new engine with 2000 km i will put 5w 40 oil next week.

They use 0w 40 for the BMW M3 in high rpm engine.So if that's fit for the M3 cannot be bad for the TS...

Just 4 your information, Toyota uses 5W 35.... it is not a very popular type, so I don't even know, what kind of persons works for toyota services, but I can assure you, that abroad, so called in austria, Toyota services uses much mure high performeced parts during services with the same price or cheaper... This is my personal intention, and I could realize in practise as well...

Anyway when I used 5W-40, I have realized, the engine consume quite more than enough in 5000km.... so this was the background why I changed to Castrol Edge... ( Thanks for other guys' advice...)

Anyway, you are talking about new engine..... hm... so you had to change yours, or just a missunderstanding?


What about the hidraulic chain fastener? Have you ever realize strange noise, as we had before? Or is it still the original one?
How do you like the gear set? I guess you hate it
